Registration for the simplified selection process of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) opened this Friday (12) for temporary hiring of personnel for the activities of the 12th Agricultural, Forestry and Aquaculture Census. In total, 8,238 vacancies are offered for people with secondary education, distributed across five functions: Administrative census agent 1,110 vacancies IT census agent 1,089 vacancies Regional operational agent 948 vacancies Regional census agent 948 vacancies Supervisory census agent 4,143 vacancies Related news: IBGE announces first census of the homeless population for 2028. The temporary contracts of those approved will last up to 12 months, and may be extended according to the needs of the census operation. The competition will have the following types of competition for vacancies: broad competition, people with disabilities, black or brown people, indigenous people and quilombolas. The confirmation procedure complementary to the self-declaration of black or brown people will be carried out televised and applied exclusively to candidates who, at the time of registration, declare themselves in this way and pass the objective test. Registration Registration must be made exclusively through the website of the Brazilian Institute of Training and Capacity Building (IBFC), responsible for organizing the event. The deadline ends at 11:59 pm on July 1, 2026. When registering, the candidate must choose the municipality where they wish to take the objective test, according to the forecast of vacancies offered and detailed in the selection process notice. Registration fee The registration fee is R$53. The notice specifies that bone marrow donors with a certificate or report issued by a doctor from an entity recognized by the Ministry of Health, which proves the donation, can request exemption from the fee; and also those registered in the federal government's Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico), who are members of low-income families. In this case, it is not necessary to send documentation. Remuneration of those called up The remuneration of approved candidates varies from R$2,128 to R$4,008, depending on the role performed. Contractors will also be entitled to benefits such as food allowance of R$1,192, transportation allowance, pre-school allowance, proportional vacations and proportional thirteenth salary. Evidence The objective test, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions with five alternatives each and one correct answer, distributed across subjects by function. To be approved, the candidate must have scored at least 18 points in the total objective test; and have achieved at least one point in each subject. According to the notice, the scheduled date for the objective test is September 27th, lasting four hours. The final result of the simplified selection process is expected to be published on December 18th.
