According to police records, the victim reported that on June 6th he bought a bottle of water from a street vendor, who was outside the Exhibition Park. He then said he would try to perform the operation on another machine. After the service, the man received a card back and left the place. Shortly afterwards, he realized that the returned card was in someone else's name. When checking his bank account, the victim found that several attempts to make online purchases had been made. In-person purchases and withdrawals were also made using their bank details, causing financial losses. The amount of damage was not disclosed. The case was registered by the Military Police and must be investigated to identify the perpetrator of the fraud. Guidance The Police advise consumers to always check the name printed on the card after any payment made by third parties and to monitor the entire operation on the card machine. In case of suspicious transactions, the recommendation is to immediately block the card, contact the financial institution and file a police report.
