Since 2024, Addis Ababa and other Ethiopian cities have been experiencing an accelerated modernization process. The streets turn into wide boulevards, luxury hotels multiply, and skyscrapers rise in various parts of the city. But this project is not without consequences, as more than ten thousand people were forced to leave their homes to make way for the government’s development plans.
