Police investigate death of 2-year-old Kaleb Gabriel da Cruz Reproduction Civil police officers from the 34th DP (Bangu) arrested, this Friday (12), the mother and stepfather of little Kaleb Gabriel da Cruz, just 2 years old. The child died in July 2024, in the North Zone of Rio. The couple was on the run from justice. The prisoners are: Aline Júlia da Cruz Conceição and Matheus Pereira Rufino Isidoro. On the day of the crime, according to the duo, Kaleb was playing with his younger brother, aged 11 months, when he fell out of bed. However, the report from the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) pointed out that the cause of Kaleb's death was caused by trauma to the abdomen with injury to the pancreas due to blunt action — that is, a trauma [a blow] to the belly region. The arrest order was determined by magistrate Thiago Portes Vieira de Souza, from the 2nd Criminal Court.
