Revised Postal Law enacted, allowing for flexible changes to postage rates, considering price increases

In response to Japan Post's continued deficit in its postal operations, a bill to revise the Postal Law that would allow postal fees to be revised with approval from the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications was passed and enacted at a plenary session of the House of Councilors held on the 12th.
