The Scientific Police concluded the technical report on the explosion in the gas network in the Jaguaré neighborhood, in the west zone of the city of São Paulo, on May 11th, which caused the death of two people.  According to the state government, teams mapped the area, examined pipes and soil, as well as items belonging to affected residents and workers. "The expert work was carried out by a multidisciplinary task force of criminal experts, working on site to collect, preserve, document and analyze material traces", he informed. The technical work analyzed underground gas samples, geophysical electroresistivity and shallow seismic examinations. The necroscopic examinations carried out by the Legal Medical Institute were also part of the report. "The definition of possible responsibilities will be the responsibility of the police investigation – based on the set of elements found – which is conducted by the 3rd Specialized Center for the Repression of Crimes and Miscellaneous Occurrences of the Civil Police in the capital", added the state government. The explosion affected around 800 homes, including 302 houses and 488 condominium apartments, of which 66 were completely destroyed. Two people died, one of them an outsourced worker working for Sabesp. The company was carrying out work at the site. The concessionaires - Sabesp and Comgás - paid aid to families whose properties were affected and renovated 45 properties with more significant damage, of which 39 have already been delivered. The Public Services Regulatory Agency of the State of São Paulo (Arsesp) changed part of the protocols for underground works in areas with shared infrastructure and created a permanent technical group focused on accident prevention. Remember the case  The explosion on Rua Doutor Benedito de Moraes Leme, in the Jaguaré neighborhood, occurred around 4:10 pm on May 11th. The São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company (Sabesp) was carrying out work at the site. According to information from Civil Defense, the explosion may have been caused by a problem with the Comgás piped natural gas pipe, which was hit during Sabesp's external work.
