More than $330 million is what the Government of Israel should allocate to make new settlements in the West Bank, approved during the last three years, a reality. According to the organization Peace Now, this is not the standard planning process and the Israeli Government is seeking to buy time before possible elections. For now, the settlements only have limited infrastructure, but that budget will be able to build access roads, sewage systems, water connections and temporary housing complexes. Human rights organizations denounce a process that would make the creation of a Palestinian State even more unviable.
