Romário Raoni is accused of running over and killing a public servant after a fight while leaving a party. Reproduction The Court accepted the complaint from the Public Ministry of Ceará (MPCE) against Romário Raoni Pereira Agostinho, who ran over a group after a fight leaving a party in May, in Juazeiro do Norte, in Cariri Ceará. As a result of the impact, public servant Airton Ferreira Rocha died. Now, Romário has become a defendant for the crimes of qualified homicide and attempted murder. The crimes took place on May 23. Airton Rocha succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. A second boy was rescued with serious injuries. There is no information on his current health status. Those involved were already leaving the place when the driver got into a car and accelerated the vehicle towards the group, which was crossing the road. With the impact, Airton and a friend of his were thrown towards a sidewalk. A third victim managed to swerve and fell onto the road. While escaping, the suspect even ran his car over the fallen public servant. At the time, he confessed to the crime and indicated where the car used in the accidents was located. Raoni already has a criminal record for four crimes of intentional bodily injury, a crime against public safety and a crime against public administration. The individual was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet when he was captured. He underwent a custody hearing on May 24th and had his arrest in the act converted into preventive detention by the 1st Criminal Court of the District of Juazeiro do Norte. Airton Neto was a servant at the Municipal Youth Secretariat of Milagres City Hall, also in the Cariri region. The organization issued a note of condolence over the death of the employee.
