Since then, the corporation and Equatorial Alagoas have disagreed over responsibility for the repairs necessary to restore service. In a statement, the Civil Police reported that it is carrying out repairs to restore the unit's functioning, but stated that it may later seek compensation from the concessionaire. “The Civil Police is carrying out the repair to restore the service, but this does not mean that the State will not later seek compensation from the company that had the duty to carry out the repair”, informed the corporation.
