Hailstorm in Ivinhema Susi Reginato and Eduardo Vinícios The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul declared an emergency situation in part of the urban and rural areas of Ivinhema after the heavy hailstorm that hit the municipality on May 16th. The measure was published this Thursday (11) and makes it possible to speed up aid actions for affected families and the recovery of damaged areas. According to the state government, the storm caused damage in different regions of the city, damaged houses and caused losses to residents. The decree is valid for 180 days and confirms the emergency situation already declared by Ivinhema City Hall on May 19th. ✅ Click here to follow the g1 MS channel on WhatsApp The decision was taken after analysis by the State Coordination of Protection and Civil Defense of Mato Grosso do Sul (CEPDEC/MS), which highlighted the need to reinforce service to the population and recovery work in the affected areas. Now on g1 With the recognition of the emergency, State agencies will be able to act together to provide assistance to residents and rebuild structures damaged by the storm. The decree also authorizes the Civil Defense to enter properties in risk situations to provide assistance or evacuate residents, if necessary. In cases of danger, private properties may be used temporarily by the public authorities, with compensation to the owner if there is damage. Furthermore, the measure allows for faster contracting of works and services aimed at recovering losses caused by the storm, without the need for bidding in the cases provided for by law.
