Assigned
In a statement, José da Penha city hall reported that the rains recorded in recent days caused damage to local roads in the municipality. According to the city hall, Civil Defense was called and teams from the works department were mobilized to carry out the necessary repairs.
Community resident, Pedro Filho stated that the problems on the road are not recent. According to him, residents have been demanding action from the city hall for at least four months and have already made appeals on social media asking for the road to be restored. He said it hasn't rained in the community for 30 days.
Return was also a problem
The patient was taken to the hospital with a companion inside the ambulance, which only had the driver on the health team.
After the care, during the return home, around 2:30 am, the ambulance was again unable to access the residence. The patient had to be taken on a stretcher to complete the journey.
According to resident Pedro Filho, around 500 people live in the Sítio Baixo do Fogo community and face frequent travel difficulties due to road conditions, especially during the rainy season.
