An artist from Salvador used PET bottle caps to create the flags of the countries participating in the 2026 World Cup. The flags are displayed on the sidewalk along the coast of the capital of Bahia and attract the attention of those passing by.
⚽ Brazil, United States, England, Scotland, Canada, Morocco and Colombia are some of the flags on display.
♻️ André Fernandes needed 32 thousand caps to create the flags. All of them were found on Amaralina Beach.

According to the artist, the idea of creating the work of art came from the amount of trash found on Amaralina Beach.
"The need arose to transform this waste into art and, since we are in the World Cup period, bring this message of environmental awareness", he said.
