With just a few days to go before Brazil's debut in the World Cup, scheduled for Saturday (13), against Morocco, anticipation is already taking over many families. In Mogi das Cruzes, the passion for football spans generations and women play an important role in keeping the tradition of cheering alive, bringing the family together and introducing the sport to young people.
One of these fans is Gabrielle Campos, 34 years old. Corintiana, she saw her husband, Gustavo Triboni, 34 years old, leave São Paulo for Corinthians with her encouragement. The change was made after the birth of the couple's son, Jorge Raphael Triboni, aged 4.

"He said he supported São Paulo, but he never really cared. I always said that my son was going to be a Corinthians fan. When Jorge was born and started to care about football and support Corinthians, that's when Gustavo changed teams for good", he says.
According to Gabrielle, the change made her husband watch more games and become even more involved with football.

"He started to like it and follow it more. In fact, he really supported Corinthians. Supporting became much cooler and I love the fact that I converted him", he jokes.
The World Cup is also usually a special moment for the family. According to Gabrielle, the national team's games always bring together family and friends in a festive atmosphere.
"We've watched a few World Cups together. It's always that party, meeting with family, friends, lots of fans and chaos during the game and after the game. I think now it's going to be more special because he understands more and even in the lineup he made more suggestions", he says.
Enthusiasm has also reached little Jorge.
"Jorge already shows several signs that he likes football. He even plays football at school because he wants to. Now, with the World Cup, he is super excited, especially to support and because of the party it is", he states.

The passion for football has also been with Maria Eduarda Gonçalves, aged 24, since childhood. A Corinthians fan, she grew up watching games alongside her father, uncles and grandfather.
"It's a tradition in my family to watch games together and go to the stadium together. It's a love that passed from my grandfather to my father and uncles, and from them to me. For a long time I was the only girl in the family", she recalls.
The connection with the club continued into adulthood. Today, Maria is part of the organized Gaviões da Fiel fans alongside her fiancé, Victor Garcia, 29, and her son Théo Gonçalves Garcia, 2 years old.
"When Victor and I met, only I was in the organization. After a few months of insisting, he was too", he says.
Now, it's the couple's turn to pass on their passion for football to their son. Even though he is only 2 years old, Théo already shows an interest in the sport and the traditions of the fans.
"He loves going to the stadium. At home he also always asks us to play the fans' songs", says Maria.
This year's World Cup will be the first in the boy's life, and the family is already planning a big gathering to watch the Brazilian team's games.
"We are very excited, even more so because it is Théo's first World Cup. We are going to get together with family and friends to watch the games", he says.
