"Rumo ao Hexa" and "Vai, Brasil", flags painted on the asphalt, drawings of players and the hands of fans left streets of communities in the South Zone of São Paulo with the face of the Seleção on the eve of the 2026 World Cup.
In Jardim Ibirapuera, in the South Zone of the capital, more than 60 residents participated in a joint effort at the beginning of the month that transformed Rua Salgueiro do Campo. The road received a painting almost 100 meters long and around 1,000 m² of artistic interventions inspired by football and the colors of Brazil.
In addition to the flags and the colors green, yellow, blue and white, the space featured drawings of players, phrases encouraging the National Team and paintings made by the residents themselves. Images recorded by drone show the street completely colored, forming a large mosaic seen from above.

The action brought together residents, community artists, volunteers and professional painters. On social media, the initiative awakened memories among residents of the region. "I was on this street on Saturday, it's very beautiful, I thought it was really cool, it brought back childhood memories," wrote a neighbor.
Based on community listening, Bloco do Beco identified the residents' desire to transform the surrounding area into the most colorful neighborhood in the city by 2030. The actions in the capital were supported by Coral, AkzoNobel's decorative paint brand, through the Coral Institute, as well as local partners and supporting companies.
On Tuesday (9), two days before the opening of the World Cup, it was Heliópolis's turn to get a new decoration inspired by football. One of the community's main roads, Rua Maciel Parente, received paintings along approximately 300 meters.

Actions in other states
The mobilization to color streets also reached other regions of the country. In Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro, an artistic intervention transformed around 200 meters of the community's main street into a large open-air panel. The project involved the participation of approximately 30 local painters and had the collaboration of mural artist Nobru Werneck, a resident of the community.
In São José, in Greater Florianópolis, a joint effort transformed 1,400 m² of Rua Joaquim Vieira Padilha, in the Real Parque neighborhood. The place received paintings in the colors of the Brazilian flag, a children's football field, renovated facades and graffiti inspired by historical and current idols of the Brazilian National Team. Around 100 residents, artists, painters and volunteers participated in the action.
