In a statement, the local executive informed that the decision was motivated by financial problems faced by the municipality, mainly due to lower-than-expected revenue collection for this year, which led to spending restraint. "In recent weeks, there has been a significant drop in estimated revenues, due to the frustration of the revenue forecast for the period and the reassessment of revenue projections for the year 2026. Scheduled to take place between July 8th and 12th at the "Antônio Carlos Prado Baptista" Events Center, the event had among its confirmed attractions artists such as Clube da Viola, Edson & Hudson, Dilsinho, Jads & Jadson and Trio Parada Dura. Party cancellation and ticket refund According to the City Hall, due to this scenario of budgetary difficulties, it was necessary to prioritize the allocation of resources to areas and expenses such as health, education and payroll for public servants. According to the municipal administration, holding the party became financially unfeasible in this context. "The City Hall emphasizes that this was not a decision taken abruptly. Before cancellation, alternatives were analyzed to make the event viable, including reducing the structure, renegotiating contracts, reviewing expenses and searching for complementary sources of financing. However, even with these efforts, it was not possible to ensure the necessary conditions for the responsible holding of the party."
