Teenager invades school during police escape in Arraial do Cabo A teenager suspected of involvement in drug trafficking invaded the João Torres Municipal School during a police escape and caused moments of tension between students, teachers and staff this Wednesday morning (10), in Arraial do Cabo, in the Lakes Region of Rio. According to witnesses, some students and staff became ill due to the scare and needed medical attention. Nobody was injured. According to the Military Police, the incident began during an operation to combat drug trafficking in Morro da Cabocla. The Military Police and Arraial do Cabo City Hall reported that there were no firearms fired inside the school. The operation also resulted in the arrest of an older man, who, according to the PM, resisted the approach and got into a fight with the police. Drugs were also seized during the raid. Those involved were taken to medical care and later taken to the 132nd Police Station. In a statement, Arraial do Cabo City Hall reported that the situation was quickly controlled by security forces and that there was no damage to the physical integrity of students, education professionals or other people who were at the school unit.
