Driver is arrested with 11 bars of marijuana after chase on MGC-497 A driver was arrested for drug trafficking after fleeing an approach from the Military Highway Police (PMRv), losing control of the car and trying to escape by running through a thicket on the banks of MGC-497, in Uberlândia. Inside the vehicle, the military found 11 bars of marijuana. The incident was recorded on Monday (9), at km 50 of the highway. According to PMRv, teams were carrying out patrols when they identified a vehicle in a suspicious attitude and ordered the driver to stop. According to police, the driver disobeyed the order and fled at high speed along the highway. During the pursuit, he lost control of the steering wheel, left the road and stopped off the road. Images released by the police show the moment of the chase and the seizure of the drugs. The police monitored him and managed to catch him, making the arrest. Afterwards, the military carried out a thorough search of the car and located the marijuana bars. The man was arrested in the act and taken to the city's police station. The vehicle he used was also seized. The Highway Patrol did not release the identity or age of the suspect.
