Due to the lack of light, the Fire Department was called to several incidents of people trapped in elevators in both neighborhoods.
According to firefighters, there were calls for rescues at addresses on Senador Vergueiro, in Flamengo, and Oswaldo Cruz, Barão do Flamengo, Marquês de Abrantes and Barão de Icaraí, in Botafogo.

In a statement, Light informed that technicians from the concessionaire are working to normalize the energy supply in the affected locations. The company also stated that it is investigating what caused the service interruption.
Until the last update of this report, there was no information about the forecast for the full restoration of energy in the region.
