The Fiber Excellence group, which operates the last two pulp mills in France (in Saint-Gaudens and Tarascon) is in receivership. For the moment, only one takeover offer is looming, but it remains dependent on “commitments expected from the State”, in particular on an increase in the purchase price of electricity by EDF, produced from wood chips.
