Civil Police carry out operation against suspects of robberies and cell phone theft in São Paulo The Civil Police carried out, on the morning of this Wednesday (10), an operation to execute 19 search and seizure warrants against those being investigated for crimes of criminal association, robbery, theft, reception and theft of cell phones and electronic devices in São Paulo. According to investigations, the targets are part of a criminal association specializing in robberies and theft of cell phones through the practice known as "glass breaking". Operation Contrafeixe is coordinated by the 2nd Police Station for Investigations into Crimes against Property (Disccpat), linked to the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic). The investigations indicate that, after thefts and robberies, the devices were passed on to receivers. Before the devices were resold, those involved tried to gain access to the victims' accounts to steal amounts. Operation Contrafeixe seeks to gather new evidence against those being investigated and advance investigations into the activities of the criminal organization and the chain of receipt of stolen and stolen devices.
