A 30-year-old woman was arrested on Monday (8) on suspicion of stealing a helmet from a condominium in the Planalto neighborhood, in Patos de Minas, Alto Paranaíba. According to the Military Police (PM), she confessed to the crime and stated that she took the object because she was afraid of being late for work.
The police were called after a 34-year-old resident noticed the helmet stolen in the condominium's parking lot. Images from the internal monitoring circuit helped the military identify the suspect, who is also a resident of the area.

The woman was located at her workplace. According to the PM, she admitted to having used scissors to cut the helmet's fastening strap and stealing the object.
To the police, the suspect told that she did not find her own helmet before leaving home and, afraid of being late for work, took the equipment that was on a motorcycle in the condominium's parking lot.
The woman also stated that, after the theft, she discarded the helmet in a vacant lot close to her workplace. The military searched the region, but did not find the object.
The suspect was arrested in the act and taken to the Civil Police. The images from the monitoring circuit that recorded the action were not released, but were handed over to investigators, who will continue the case.
