Students interested in participating in Sisu+ (the complementary and unprecedented stage of the Unified Selection System) can now consult available vacancies in the program, through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, in the Sisu section. The platform allows you to consult vacancies in advance and filter courses, institutions, states and municipalities, in addition to presenting details on types of competition and affirmative actions specific to educational institutions. Related news: MEC launches Sisu+ to fill vacancies in public higher education.  In total, 34 public higher education institutions joined the program. Sisu, coordinated by the Ministry of Education (MEC), aims to democratize access to higher education in public institutions that have joined the selection process.  The Sisu+ stage offers any vacancies available for entry into the second semester. Registration Candidates who participated in at least one edition of Enem in the last three years must have applied for places in the regular stage of Sisu2026 to be able to register for Sisu+ in the period from June 15th to 19th. Registration for Sisu+ also takes place through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, in the Sisu section. After completing this stage of registration, the candidate will be able to choose up to two course options indicated as the first and second option. In each of them, the student will be able to view the chosen course, the place of offering, the educational institution, the shift, the degree, any affirmative actions specific to the institution (if any) and the types of competition in which they will be enrolled. Selection The MEC explains that the edition of Enem that results in the best weighted average will be used, according to the course option and the criteria for registration, classification and selection of students. For selection, the Sisu system will consider different types of competition, which take into account the socioeconomic profile of the candidates, in accordance with the Quota Law (Law nº 12,711/2012), and also in accordance with the affirmative actions defined by each institution. Sisu+ Schedule Registration is open from June 15th to 19th. On June 24th, the only regular call will be announced with the names of those pre-selected, on the Sisu website. For those who need to apply to the waiting list because they are not among those pre-selected, the deadline for expressing interest will be from June 24th to 26th. The registration process for those selected in the regular call will begin from June 25th, following the notice of each public educational institution. Finally, registration of those called up via the waiting list will begin on July 1st. What is Sisu+ Sisu+ was designed by the MEC to be a more efficient tool to improve the selection of candidates for vacancies in higher education. The MEC plans for Sisu+ to be used in courses that traditionally have high turnover, in which the student is admitted but gives up their place or changes course, which creates the need for public universities to organize successive calls to fill vacancies.  With Sisu+, the institution can adopt Sisu's automated structure to run waiting lists more quickly, ensuring that the vacancy does not remain idle. Another advantage highlighted by the MEC is the economy. Educational institutions that, in parallel, carry out their own selection processes, such as entrance exams, for vacancies opening in the second semester, can reduce administrative costs and use the Sisu system to select candidates. In courses where there are vacancies, such as teaching degrees, engineering and other strategic areas that the country needs to develop, Sisu+ can expand access to these vacancies because it centralizes what was previously dispersed across dozens of different university websites. In this way, the complementary selection process standardizes the availability of vacancies by institutions and facilitates students' consultation of opportunities.
