According to the ministry, the cases are being analyzed by the competent authorities, without additional details having been disclosed. According to the city hall, the reactions recorded in Sorocaba were those already expected according to the immunizer leaflet, with no records of serious adverse events in the municipality. Dengue vaccination in Sorocaba The city also uses the Qdenga vaccine, recommended for people aged 10 to 14, and the numbers show progress in immunization: Dose 1: 24,806 doses applied (41.7% of the target audience); Dose 2: 13,175 doses applied (22.1% of the target audience). The suspension of Butantan does not affect Qdenga, which continues to be normally applied in health units. In 2024, in Sorocaba, 62 confirmed cases of dengue were recorded, with no deaths to date. Butantan vaccines will remain segregated until the Ministry of Health releases new guidelines on whether or not to resume the campaign. Jundiaí In Jundiaí, the Health Promotion Secretariat, through Epidemiological Surveillance (VE), reported that it also follows the Ministry of Health's guidance for the temporary and preventive suspension of the application of the dengue vaccine produced by the Butantan Institute. In the city, no cases of serious reactions or deaths related to the application of the vaccine were recorded. The doses currently available in the municipal network will remain stored and preserved in accordance with cold chain protocols, awaiting further guidance from the Ministry of Health.
