A cyclist, whose name and age were not disclosed, died after being run over on Sunday night (7), on BR-365, in Uberlândia. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the driver fled without providing assistance to the victim and has not yet been identified.
The accident happened around 10pm, at km 626 of the highway, close to the Tocantins neighborhood, on a curved section. According to the PRF, rescue teams were called, but the cyclist succumbed to his injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.

Technical expertise was also on the highway to carry out the usual procedures. The circumstances of the accident and the identification of the vehicle that hit the cyclist remain under investigation by the competent authorities.
g1 questioned the Civil Police to find out if a police investigation was launched to investigate the case and if there were any arrests related to the incident, but, until the last update of this report, there had been no response.
Ecovias Cerrado, the concessionaire responsible for the stretch, was also contacted for more information about the accident and g1 is awaiting feedback.
