Exclusive audio and videos reveal that police officers sold drugs in Paraíba Civil Police investigator for over 20 years, podcast presenter and speaker on courses aimed at men. The public image built by Everton Aires, known as "Bomba", contrasts with the accusations that now place him at the center of an investigation into an alleged drug resale scheme in Paraíba. Arrested last week during a joint operation by the Public Ministry and the Civil Police, Bomba is identified by investigators as the leader of a criminal organization made up of civil police officers and drug traffickers. According to the investigation, the group diverted drugs seized by the police to resell them to criminals. In addition to working as an investigator, Everton Aires participated in a podcast alongside other police officers and promoted content aimed at the personal development of men. In one of the editions of the program, he even commented on topics related to police activity and public safety. Behind the scenes, however, the investigation points to a very different reality. In audios obtained by investigators, the police officer appears discussing drug negotiations and treating trafficking as a commercial activity. "It's just like you're selling anything else. But instead of selling watches, you're selling drugs", says a voice attributed to him in one of the recordings. According to the Public Ministry and the Civil Police, Bomba had direct contact with drug dealers and participated in the sale of cocaine, crack, skank and anabolic steroids. Investigator accused of leading drug resale in Paraíba received R$4 million: 'The police pay shit' Everton Aires, known as Bomba Reproduction/TV Globo Millionaire movement The investigation also identified financial transactions considered incompatible with the investigator's income. According to investigators, Everton Aires received more than R$4 million into its bank accounts over the last five years. The amount drew attention as it far exceeded the remuneration of a Civil Police investigator, estimated at around R$8,500 per month. In one of the conversations analyzed by the police, he attributes his earnings to commercial activities. "The guy who sells the most here is me. If I have to support myself just from the police salary, I can't do it", says the voice attributed to the police officer. Everton Aires, known as Bomba Reproduction/TV Globo Drugs seized According to the investigation, the group used drugs seized by the Narcotics Suppression Police Station (DRE), the unit where Bomba worked for several years. The investigations indicate that narcotics that should have remained in police custody were removed and resold to drug dealers. Investigators say the negotiations involved different criminal organizations. In one of the audios, the police officer mentions a contact linked to Comando Vermelho who would be willing to buy all the drugs available. The police also maintain that the group maintained close relationships with criminals, participating in face-to-face meetings and socializing with some of them. Braz Morroni and Everton Aires Reproduction/TV Globo Operation In addition to Everton Aires, the operation arrested investigator Eduardo Jorge, known as "Mão Branca", and police chief Brás Morrone. José Alexandrino Júnior Lira, known as Júnior Lira, was also arrested, identified by the police as a member of the so-called Novo Cangaço. For those responsible for the operation, the case exposes one of the most serious scenarios for security forces: the action of public agents alongside organized crime. "The fact that they are agents of the State gives these people a feeling of shielding. It is something very serious and needs to be fought with all our might," said one of the investigators responsible for the case. Everton Aires, Eduardo Jorge and Braz Morroni Reproduction/TV Globo Bomba's lawyer stated that due legal process has been established and that the police officer does not accept the accusations. Mão Branca's lawyer said that it is not credible that police officers could be openly negotiating drugs and that we could be facing a reputational murder case. Braz's lawyer maintains that there is nothing that exposes the police officer's conscious participation in the facts investigated. Júnior Lira, suspected of being part of Novo Cangaço, was also arrested. His defense said that his "innocence will be demonstrated" and that he is "the target of a police chase".
