Japan's economy grows by 1.8% during the first quarter on an annual basis

The Japanese Government Office announced, on Monday, that Japan's economy grew at a rate of 0.5% on a quarterly basis during the first quarter of this year, which was in line with analysts' expectations and the growth rate in the last quarter of last year.
