Rosneft Chairman: American companies are the beneficiaries of the closure of “Hormuz”

Igor Sechin, CEO of Rosneft, the largest oil producing company in Russia, said on Saturday that American energy companies are the main beneficiaries of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, warning at the same time that continued tension in this corridor, through which about 20 percent of global oil supplies used to pass, would undermine long-term demand for oil.
