Reddy told the media- I am still in Congress, I have not resigned from the party. Has performed many responsibilities of the party in the last 53 years. I have worked as a minister in the cabinets of many Chief Ministers. Never asked for ministerial post from anyone. DK Shivkumar has divided the departments among 13 ministers on Thursday night itself. In this, Priyank, son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, has been given the Home Ministry. Shivkumar has kept many portfolios including Finance, Cabinet Affairs, Personnel-Administrative Reforms, Intelligence. Reddy had walked out of the first cabinet meeting. According to news agency PTI, Reddy had walked out of the first cabinet meeting held on Thursday to decide the department. In the meeting, the Minister reminded Chief Minister DK of the promise made in 2023, in which it was said that whenever there is a cabinet reshuffle, he will be given the Bengaluru Development Department.
