A massive fire broke out in a high-rise residential society in Noida Sector-75 at 8 am on Friday. The fire broke out in a 12th floor flat in the 28-storey building of Ivy Country Society. The fire spread so fast that within no time high flames started coming out of the windows of the flat. A cloud of black smoke spread in the sky. There was chaos in the society. People started running down the stairs and out of the building. As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles and police force reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations started. Efforts are being made to control the fire. The entire building has been evacuated. As a precaution, the surrounding buildings have also been evacuated. Initial investigation revealed that the fire broke out in a flat in Tower-A of the society. The fire broke out due to short circuit in the air cooler. Within no time it spread throughout the flat. All the stuff was burnt to ashes. At present there is no information about any casualty.
