There was an uproar when a crocodile was discovered in a river in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. According to the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters on the 18th, at around 11:27 am, a passerby reported that “there is something that looks like a pet crocodile in Soyang Stream” in the area of ​​Soyang Stream, Chang-dong, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do. The fire department dispatched to the scene mobilized two pieces of equipment and seven personnel and captured the crocodile about 30 minutes later, at around 12:06 p.m.. To date, the exact species of the crocodile or the circumstances in which it was discovered in the river have not been confirmed. However, it is estimated that the crocodile, which was about 50 cm in size, was raised as a pet at home and then abandoned.
