Infrastructure is severely ailing: Transport Minister Schnieder fears further bridge closures

Around 8,000 bridges are in need of renovation. After a safety check, a Berlin motorway bridge had to be suddenly closed within a few days last year - a similar incident occurred in Bonn in June.
