Revised Imperial House Law passed and enacted at the plenary session of the House of Councilors

In order to secure the number of members of the Imperial Family, the revised Imperial House Law, which includes measures to allow female Imperial Family members to remain in the Imperial Household after marriage and to allow male lineage males from former Imperial Family members to be adopted, was voted on at a plenary session of the House of Councilors and passed with a majority of votes.
