Japan Meteorological Agency extends weather forecasts to two weeks ahead, decides on policy to enhance long-term forecasts

In order to quickly provide forecasts for weather phenomena that affect society, such as intense heat and heavy rain, the Japan Meteorological Agency has decided to enhance its long-term forecasts by extending weather forecasts that currently cover one week ahead to two weeks ahead.
