Ministry of the Environment launches council to deal with disaster waste in anticipation of an earthquake directly hitting the capital

As it is expected that an extremely large amount of disaster waste will be generated in the event of an earthquake directly hitting the Tokyo metropolitan area, the Ministry of the Environment has set up a council to discuss securing temporary storage sites for waste and establishing a transportation system.
