JR East announces new inspection vehicle “SOAR” to be introduced in 2029

JR East has announced the design of a new special vehicle for inspecting Shinkansen rails. The nickname is "SOAR" and it is scheduled to be introduced in fiscal 2029, replacing the current "East-i".
