LH announced on the 14th that on the 9th, it had sent a notice for negotiated compensation to owners of land and obstructions in the Gwangmyeong-Siheung public housing district. The start of compensation, originally scheduled for November, was brought forward by about four months. LH has expanded related personnel and organizations to speed up the compensation process and project implementation. The negotiated compensation will be carried out for 5 months from the 31st to the end of this year. It is a method of comprehensive compensation for land, obstructions, and goodwill. The number of people eligible for compensation amounts to approximately 13,000. In order to proceed smoothly with the compensation process, LH expanded the relevant personnel and organization and expanded and relocated the Gwangmyeong Siheung compensation office to the 4th floor of the U-Planet Tower near Gwangmyeong Station. A reservation system will also be operated for one month from the 31st, the start date of the negotiated compensation. Those eligible for compensation can select the district and visit date and time online and then visit the compensation office. LH plans to execute compensation within the year after consultation with residents and also proceed with follow-up procedures such as relocation and livelihood measures.
