Approximately 14,700 children on waiting list for after-school child care nationwide, decreasing for second consecutive year

The number of waiting-list children who are unable to take advantage of after-school childcare services, which take care of elementary school students from working families after school, for reasons such as a lack of vacancies, decreased for the second consecutive year to approximately 14,700 nationwide.
