A teenage girl suffered burns when a 'Squishy' toy left in a hot car exploded. According to a recent CBS News report, Natalie Staggs, a 13-year-old girl living in West Virginia, was injured when a squishy toy left in the car suddenly exploded while returning from her grandparents' house. Natalie's mother, Kim Staggs, said, "On the way home, my daughter screamed, so I turned my head and saw her. “The top of my knee was covered with a transparent substance,” he said. The daughter, who suffered burns when the silicone contained in the toy splashed hot, was immediately taken to the hospital emergency room, and the medical staff cleaned the wound with saline solution. “The substance inside was very sticky and thick, like cold taffy,” Staggs explained.
