According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Tokyo Airport Office, peeling off of the road surface was discovered on Runway C, one of Haneda Airport's four runways, around 3:30 p.m. on the 13th. The size of the peeled off area is approximately 20 cm in length and width and 5 cm in depth, and Runway C has been closed for repair work. It is expected that operations will resume around 6 p.m.
