Inappropriate relationship between a former special investigation department prosecutor and a woman, perhaps even before the criminal proceedings were over

A male prosecutor who was a member of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office's special investigation department is being investigated for having an inappropriate relationship with a woman he was interrogating during a case investigation. Interviews with people involved have revealed that the inappropriate relationship appears to have begun even before the woman's criminal proceedings were completed. The Supreme Public Prosecutors Office is also aware of these circumstances and is considering the punishment of the male prosecutor.
