The plan is to support the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration and lead the Democratic Party's innovation by combining local administration experience with the party leadership. The National Autonomous and Decentralized Democratic Leaders' Conference (KDLC) nominated Mayor Park as the candidate for the Democratic Party's supreme member in the conference room of the National Assembly building on the 12th. In his acceptance speech, Mayor Park said, "I am running for the supreme member election to build a stronger Democratic Party by gathering the will of local governments, local councils, and grassroots party members who have been with the residents."
