Cancer genomic medical base: Starting from next year, each prefecture will in principle have one designated location.

In order to promote ``cancer genomic medicine,'' which examines the genes of cancer patients and connects them to optimal treatment, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has established a policy to expand the system, starting in fiscal 2027, by designating one base hospital per prefecture to provide high-quality medical care in the region.
