Provided by Seocheon-gun Sustainable Development Council ‘Noru Island’, a small island off the coast of Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province, has established itself as the largest breeding ground in Korea for rare migratory birds such as yellow-billed egrets and black-faced spoonbills. The Seocheon-gun Sustainable Development Council announced on the 5th that 114 individuals of yellow-billed egrets were confirmed around Noru Island in Maseo-myeon through recent ‘bird monitoring for the protection of internationally endangered species’.
