President Putin takes control of key strategic positions in eastern Ukraine and indicates intention to continue invasion

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a meeting at the military headquarters and, in response to reports that he had seized key defensive positions on the Ukrainian side in eastern Donetsk Oblast, asserted that ``this is the key to liberating the entire Donetsk Oblast,'' and emphasized his intention to continue the invasion.
