The Japanese national team returned to Japan on the 2nd after being eliminated in the first round of the final round of the North and Central American tri-nation soccer World Cup tournament. When the players appeared in the lobby of Narita Airport, a large crowd of fans greeted them after nearly two weeks of intense competition. The team returned to Japan in three separate flights, with the first group including Kiyo Ueda (Feyenoord) and Kaishu Sano (Mainz) arriving at Narita Airport. Coach Hajime Moriyasu will host Miyamoto of the Japan Football Association (JFA) from 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd.
