SK AX is joining hands with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to innovate AX in the power generation and energy sectors. The plan is to increase operational efficiency through optimization through AI from power plant design to maintenance, thereby strengthening the ability to respond to rapidly increasing energy demand. SK AX announced on the 2nd that it signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for AX cooperation in the power generation and energy industry’ with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) at SK U Tower in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. The agreement ceremony on this day was attended by executives from both companies, including Kim Wan-jong, President of SK AX, and Kim Tae-gyun, President of KEPCO Engineering & Construction. The power generation and energy industry is connected to a vast amount of technical data and complex work processes such as ▲design ▲project management ▲operation ▲maintenance ▲safety management, etc., so it is evaluated that it is important to design a structure where AI can be used in actual work beyond simple introduction of AI. SK AX expects that by adding its AX implementation capabilities to the engineering expertise accumulated by KEPCO E&C, it will be possible to optimize operations and enhance AI through business innovation throughout the entire power generation industry.
