In the first incident, police found around 4 kilos of aluminum cable with one of the suspects. According to the police, the material was of the triplex type and was recognized by a company representative as compatible with the wires used by the dealership.
During the approach, the man reported having purchased the cables from a third person who worked for the former Celpa. The Civil Police also reported that he already has a previous record related to property crimes.
The second arrest occurred in a scrapyard located in the Jaderlândia neighborhood. At the scene, agents seized approximately 615 meters of insulated aluminum cables, totaling around 400 kilos of material. Among the wires collected were Space, duplex and triplex cables.
During the inspection, the police also located a property label from the dealership, with a registration code and an identification code, which reinforced the evidence that the material had been stolen from the dealership.
The Civil Police reported that the operation was motivated by successive thefts and loss of cables in the municipality, especially since the beginning of the year. The police highlight that reception is one of the factors that fuel this type of crime, by creating a market for the resale of stolen materials.
The two prisoners remain at the disposal of Justice.
