At the meeting, Lula also defended that the United Nations (UN) Security Council can act more effectively to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has lasted more than four years.

Also through his profile on X, Zelensky evaluated the meeting with Lula as positive. According to him, the main focus of the conversation was ways to put an end to the “war of aggression” imposed by Russia.
"President [Lula] shared his ideas about possible diplomatic approaches. I informed him about the real attitudes of Russian society regarding diplomatic commitments with the United States and other partners. We agreed on future contacts," Zelensky wrote in the post.
