Two people die after collision between trucks on BR-230, in southern MA Two people died after a collision between two trucks this Wednesday morning (17), on BR-230, between the municipalities of Balsas and Riachão, close to the town of Rio Coco. A passenger car was also involved in the accident. According to reports from people passing by, the trucks were traveling in opposite directions when one of the drivers tried to avoid a hole and ended up colliding with the other vehicle. The impact of the collision left the cabins of both trucks completely destroyed. The driver of the passenger car managed to swerve and leave the road without suffering any injuries. Traffic on the BR-230 section was slow throughout the morning. Teams from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and other security agencies remain at the scene, removing vehicles, cargo and debris scattered across the road.
