Emmanuel Macron wants to give the EU customs duties like Trump: Germany now supports the French project

Faced with the rise of Chinese imports and the fear of deindustrialization, France and several large European countries want to provide the EU with a tool inspired by American "Section 301" to be able to quickly impose targeted customs duties against Beijing and better protect European industry.
